The Rotary Club of Escondido After Five will hold their annual fundraising on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Center for the Arts Escondido. The Polynesian themed gala will begin at 5pm and include silent and live auction items, dinner, entertainment, and a special presentation of the Club’s “Spirit of the Community Award”. The Spirit of the Community Award recognizes individuals that exemplify service to the community of Escondido. This year’s recipient is the George and Cynthia Weir Family Foundation. “The Weir’s have been long time philanthropists in Escondido, supporting many community organizations and special projects. They are well deserving of this special recognition”. Stated Doug Clark, After Five’s Community Service Director. This will be the third time this award has been presented.
Since this event has a Polynesian theme, guests are encouraged to dress accordingly. So, pull out those Mumu’s and Hawaiian shirts, and join us for “Blue Hawaii After Five”. The After Five club is looking for sponsors for this event. Individual tickets can also be purchased in advance for $100 each.
