Together, we possess the ability to break the cycle!

District 5340's dedicated Anti-Human Trafficking task force proudly launches a series of initiatives that are designed to increase the awareness of San Diego County's human sex trafficking scourge and generate measures to help prevent individuals -- primarily young people -- from becoming victims.

A 2016 Point Loma Nazarene University study estimates that between 3,000 and 6,000 human sex trafficking victims live amongst us in San Diego County. Approximately 80 percent of those exploited hold U.S. citizenship and average 16 years of age. Exploiters begin to groom their victims as early as the fifth grade, through online and in-person methods, and generate $800 million in illicit income in the region.

Our efforts will make an impact, but only through your help! Visit this page for upcoming volunteer projects and prevention initiatives with public school districts.

In the meantime, take time to view one or more of our educational workshop series to understand the elements of human sex trafficking in San Diego County and what you can do to keep your eyes and ears open.

Together, we can end this!
