There will be a Youth Leadership Summit (YLS) in conjunction with our RI Convention in Seoul this year.  The YLS is to provide an opportunity for young leaders (aged 19-35) around the world to convene in one place and interact with one another in order to develop a road map for the future by discussing both challenges and opportunities to serve the world as future Rotarians.

The main theme for YLS will be “Our Challenge: World Future & Rotary,” and the summit will include speeches on thought provoking topics by world renowned speakers who care for future young leaders. There will be panel discussions, performances, a networking party, and other exciting programs throughout the program.

Young leader candidates can get more information about YLS through the RI Convention HOC website

Potential candidates must visit the website fill out their application form.  After they have been received, they will be sent to the district office for consideration as a potential nominee.

In addition to the actual one-day YLS summit, there is a YLS Online Contest through which everyone, both YLS participants and those who cannot join us for the summit, can submit their contest material and win prizes, which will include round trip airfare to Seoul, food, local room and board during the YLS and RI Convention.

Participants are to submit one video 3 minutes or less reflecting one of two questions: (1) How will you be the gift to this world?; and (2) What are world issues Rotary should challenge in the future? Participants aged 35 and younger can participate in the YLS Online Contest directly through the website.
