The Torrey Pines (La Jolla) Rotary Club will honor the greatest generation in a Veterans Appreciation Day celebration on Wednesday, November 9. Twenty veterans of World War II and the Korean war will join us as we thank them for their sacrifices and patriotism. The club and the La Jolla Sheraton each will provide lunches for ten veterans and their companions.
Holly Shaffner, Director of Public Relations and Marketing of Honor Flight San Diego, will present a program to help us assure these valued members of our greatest generation that we still value their service.
