Thousand Smiles Foundation held a successful February clinic two weeks ago. The Foundation would like to thank those who supported it! Many thanks to the Point Loma Rotary club for sponsoring the volunteer lunches at the clinic. We had a very tasty taco luncheon. Gracias to the Lake Elsinore Rotary club for sponsoring the patient/family lunches as an ongoing project they have had for many years! Appreciation goes to the Centenaria Rotary of Ensenada for their ongoing logistical support as liaisons to the Baja Community. The Santee Rotary club gifted our kids with hundreds of toothbrushing kits, and the Highway 78 Rotary club supported us with books in Spanish, nutrition lessons, as well as internet magic! And of course, all our dedicated volunteers from other Rotary clubs and medical/dental people. We cannot function without this core of dedicated people! The Foundation is also grateful for Jimbos Markets for their ongoing support of our nutrition education and their donations!
Two more clinics have been added to the Foundation's existing six clinics a year agenda. In March, they will be holding a pediatric clinic for Baja special needs children who would otherwise go unseen for dental care. They will also do another one later in the year. We are continuing to find more ways to serve the needy population in Baja.
