On Tuesday, May 14th the Art Pratt Foundation of Old Mission Rotary awarded the San Diego Council on Literacy a grant of $10,000 to help fund the "Imagination Library " project.
The San Diego Council on Literacy proudly coordinates Dolly Parton's "Imagination Library" program. Through this initiative, books are sent monthly to the homes of low-income children aged 0-5 in specific local zip codes. At an annual cost of $26.00, a child can receive 12 books. The program currently serves children living in the following zip codes: 92021, 92102, 92105, 92113, 92114, 92115, 92116, 92054, 92057, and 92058.
