The Rotary Club of La Jolla is holding a benefit concert on June 12, 2024, featuring Alison Brown at the Conrad Performing Arts Center. Alison Brown was raised in San Diego and just happens to be the daughter of the Club's current Rotary President, Barbara Brown. She has been awarded both a Grammy (nominated four times!) and an Emmy. She frequently collaborates with Steve Martin and is a member of the Banjo Hall of Fame. Although she always wanted to play the banjo, she started her career as an investment banker. She is hugely popular and has played to sold out concerts throughout the U.S, Europe and Japan.
