San Diego North Rotary Club - District 5340's small, but mighty club held its 32nd Annual Rotary Cross Country Fun Run at Mt. Carmel High School Stadium Friday, November 8.  Almost all the elementary and middle schools in the Poway Unified School District -- 600 third through eighth grade runners -- participated.  Counting parents, grandparents, siblings and friends, well over a thousand onlookers gathered to view the races.

The Fun Run has been a huge success with over 15,000 participants over the years.  Fun Fact: Children of the original participants are now taking part in this annual event!

Plaques were awarded for boys and girls by grade level.  Painted Rock won the elementary boys and girls sweepstakes.  Twin Peaks won the middle school division.  Place ribbons were awarded to the first ten finishers in each race and participation awards were given to all runners.

This is an "all hands" event for the San Diego North Rotary Club.  Sincere thanks to members of the Rancho Bernardo Sunrise and Noon Clubs (you know who you are) and Mt. Carmel's Interact Club.  They helped to make sure the event ran smoothly.
