On Tuesday, November 9th, the Art Pratt Foundation of Old Mission Rotary awarded a $5400 grant to the San Diego Dance Theater. This grant will fund the purchase of new chairs for their Lightbox Theater. Terry Wilson, the Executive Artistic Director, and Lisa Strickland, the President of the Board of Directors, accepted the grant on behalf of the nonprofit performing arts organization situated in Liberty Station's Arts District.

San Diego Dance Theater is a contemporary dance company and school dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for dancers from diverse ages, backgrounds, and cultures. Their mission is to facilitate access to professional training, performances, and diverse programming. They conduct summer dance workshops, cross-border projects, and performances.

A highlight of their calendar is Trolley Dances™, a highly acclaimed event. In partnership with the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System for over two decades, they host annual tours where audiences are guided on and off the trolley to experience unique, site-specific dance pieces.
