Want to have some fun in October? During a normal year, the two Carlsbad Rotary clubs would be hosting the 38th Annual Oktoberfest, a family fall festival in early October.
For the safety of our community and Rotary club members, the clubs changed the format of the event for 2020. They wanted a way to support their local restaurants during this difficult time and to continue to raise funds for their philanthropic work in our community. The clubs have partnered with nine local restaurants to create a 31-day celebration titled, Rotary Clubs of Carlsbad Oktober-Feast.
Eight locally-owned Carlsbad restaurants will offer a 15% discount on the food portion of dine-in or take-out orders during the entire month of October:
- The Landings (Palomar Airport)
- Vigilucci’s Cucina Italiana (Village)
- Vigilucci’s Seafood & Steakhouse (Carlsbad Blvd & Tamarak)
- Tin Leaf Kitchen (El Camino Real & Alga)
- Gregorio’s Italian Restaurant (Village)
- Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant (Village)
- Señor Grubby’s (Village)
- Tommy V’s (Bressi Ranch)
Tip Top Meats will offer a full German meal at the already discounted price of $9.98.
During October, both Carlsbad Rotary clubs are striving to provide a variety of WINS: a WIN for participating restaurants by driving more customers (in a routinely quiet month) to them; a WIN for customers since each participating restaurant is offering a 15% discount on food; a WIN for the sponsors by having their logos showcased on materials and each club’s social media platforms for an entire month; a WIN for the community by maintaining the Oktoberfest environment; and a WIN for Carlsbad HI-Noon Rotary and Carlsbad Rotary to sustain the sponsorship funds needed to support each club’s ongoing philanthropic work.
