Rotary Camp Pendleton is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in June 2025.
They started in 2005 as the first Rotary Club ever chartered on an active military base. Their focus was helping families aboard Camp Pendleton. Over the years, Rotary Camp Pendleton and its IRS approved charitable affiliate, Pendleton Community Service Fund, implemented projects in partnership with other Rotary clubs, the residents of La Costa Glen Retirement Community, and other donors. (Tax-ID: 46-1120543).
The Warrior Family Warehouse serves an average of 200 military families every week. Over the years, more than 100,000 local military families have been helped through Rotary Camp Pendleton’s work. Their Generation-to-Generation program picks-up lightly used furniture and housewares from veterans, Rotarians, and supporters of the military. Donations are stored at the Warrior Warehouse on Camp Pendleton. Every Friday morning, we open the warehouse so that young families can select from a wide assortment of goods – including baby products, glassware, linens, pots and pans all the way to high-end furniture – free of charge.
Their rules: “Take what you need – but not everything that you want.”
District 5340 is known for Rotarian innovation and the creation of this club is a shining example of what people can do when they have a vision and commitment to make a difference in the world. Congratulations to the Rotary Club of Camp Pendelton on 20 years of service and for the establishment of the the Warrior Family Warehouse.
