Members of the Santee-Lakeside Rotary club were on hand at the Santee Post Office for Stomp out Hunger Across America food drive. Members unloaded 8,211 pounds of food (up from 4,718 last year) from Post Office vehicles and then weighed and loaded donations into a commercial truck where items were brought to the Santee Food Bank. This is a favorite service project because it demonstrates how the Santee community comes together to help the community. *It's partly what makes living, working and serving in Santee such a joy. The Santee - Lakeside Rotary Club has been working with the Santee Post office for well over a decade and Stomp out Hunger Across America food drive is one of the club's signature service projects.
