Congratulations to the graduates of the 2024 Emerging Rotary Leader Seminar who attended the Big West Rotary Zones 26/27 Institute, including District 5340 Chief of Staff Elect Sharon Schendel from the Rotary Club of Del Mar, Assistant Governor Michael Brunker from the San Diego Rotary Club, and Immediate Past President Malena Bennett from the Rotary Club of Carlsbad. The ERL Seminar aims to identify and nurture emerging leaders within our Rotary clubs, preparing them for future leadership roles both within the clubs and at the Big West Zone Institute. They also had the opportunity to meet fellow emerging leaders from the western United States, Canada, as well as Rotary General Secretary John Hewko and Rotary International President Elect Mario Cesar Martins de Camargo. Keep an eye on these remarkable leaders.
Congratulations is also extended to District Governor-Elect Luis Carranza who graduated from the Governor-Elect training class bringing him one step closer to assuming his role as our district governor next year. He has one remaining training session to attend at the International Assembly in January before taking the role in July.
