On November 5, several Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Rancho Bernardo Noon Club (Club) participated  in their quarterly commitment to prepare dinner for families at the Ronald McDonald House in Kearny Mesa.  In attendance were Mike Fugua and his wife Patty, Dick Norfolk and his wife Pat, Johanna Mullen, Dave Brooks, Lynn Ross who brought Miss Teen Rancho Bernardo, Sophia Latifzadeh, and Joe Gandelman.  Joe is a great ventriloquist who performs with his "friends" around the region and had the kids enthralled.

The Club reserves  a date for every quarter at the beginning of the year.  They never have trouble filling the spots as everyone loves to do it.  The staff are very accommodating and appreciative and they also are very good at providing kitchen neophytes with directions.  They've all chopped and diced and mixed and served more than they thought possible.  The Club had state-of-the-art equipment that was a joy to work with.  Their contribution to the evening was several dozen cookies that area dessert for the families.
