On June 1, 2023, the San Marcos Rotary Club and the Mission Hills High School Interact Club broke ground on a new Peace Pole. Rotary President Alan Geraci, Rotary Interact Advisor Robert Chamberlain, and Interact Club President Savannah were joined by San Marcos Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Andy Johnsen and MHHS Principal Mr. Nathan Baker. The Peace Pole will serve as a symbol of peace on campus where students can gather and reflect on peace on earth! The Peace Pole will be installed Summer 2023.
