District 5340's LEAD event is set for October 12-13, 2024, which is less than a month away. The application deadline has now been extended to September 20th.
LEAD - Leadership, Ethics, Aspiration, and Determination - is one of the primary means of introducing young people to Rotary values.  We hope all clubs participate.

Clubs are encouraged to register on the website to help us assess interest levels and make arrangements for transportation, accommodation, and meals. At present, the number of clubs and students registered is below our expectations, so we are actively working to boost interest in this unique annual event.

The cost of $300 per student is funded by the club - the program is at no cost to the school, parents, or students - and represents a huge return on the investment.  Many 8th graders get introduced to Rotary and our values, stay connected through their high school Interact Club and RYLA - many RYLA Students are former LEAD students - then move into Rotaract and finally their local Rotary Club.

More information is available at https://www.rotary5340lead.org.  Clubs interested in a visit can contact Jim Piburn, District LEAD Chairman and Rotary Club Coordinator, at james.piburn_plrc@yahoo.com, to schedule a visit.  Don’t let this opportunity pass without your club’s enthusiastic support!
