Ramona Rotary is looking forward to hosting Parks Department Ranger Laurie Jancsek to their August meeting. Ranger Jancsek will share information about Ramona's new Community Vegetable Garden in Collier Park that has been created to feed its food insecure population. Ramona residents are welcomed to rent a plot and grow vegetables for the community. The project provides 32 raised, enclosed gardening beds and local residents can plant whatever vegetables they wish. Ramona Rotarian and farmer, Eva Trieger is hoping the Ramona Rotary will get involved in helping develop this community garden.
