On a rainy Wednesday night this past week, four of six East County Rotary Clubs gathered at a park & ride to caravan over to a undisclosed meeting place to enjoy fellowship and an opportunity to learn what each club was doing during this Rotary Year.  The mystery social took place at a cozy wine bar in La Mesa - La Mesa Wine Works.  Over 50 Rotarians representing four Rotary clubs participated in this Fall evening of fellowship.  Clubs included the El Cajon Noon Rotary Club, Santee-Lakeside Rotary Club, La Mesa Noon Rotary Club and the La Mesa Sunrise Rotary Club

Members enjoyed an evening of wine, Italian food and laughter as they all got to know each other.  Of particular interest was building supportive avenues for respective clubs to learn and become more involved in each others events and service projects.  Everyone enjoyed the evening so much that another function will be planned for either April or May 2020.  Thanks goes to Rotarian, Elana Levens-Craig from the Santee-Lakeside Rotary Club and Rotarian, Erick Lundy from the El Cajon Noon Club for spearheading this very successful gathering.

The evening was mirrored after the inaugural mystery social held a few years ago, which was orchestrated by Rotarian Erick Lundy, where clubs parked at a trolley station and caravanned to Gillespie field where the mystery social was held in a hanger.  No one can say that there isn't any creative minds in East County!
