In 2015 Vista’s Rotary Club dedicated the above Military Memorial Wall.  The County of San Diego generously contributed $20,000.00 toward the project and private donors contributed another $45,000.00.

The wall, a black granite tribute approximately sixty feet long by five feet high, is located along Rotary Lane on Vista Village Drive immediately east of Main Street and adjacent to the sports field of the Magnet School on Civic Center Drive at E. Vista Way.  The City of Vista has participated in maintaining landscaping on a portion of Rotary Lane, but a portion of the property adjacent to the school property, over 100 yards in length, remains without any landscaping or improvements.

The next phase of the project will landscape and beautify the entire length between the school parking lot and Main Street, and is planned for completion in the spring of 2022.  The County of San Diego has again generously contributed $25,000.00 to the project estimated at a total cost of approximately $72,000.00.

Co-sponsors and donors at the listed levels, whether in cash or in-kind, will be permanently recognized.  Donations may be designated “In Honor of” or “In Memory of” if desired.  Donations of any amount are sincerely appreciated.
