The Rotary Club of San Diego-Paradise Valley traveled again on an important medical and dental mission.  Their goal was to complete three missions in three locations in the Philippines.

Their first medical and dental mission was in the urban area of Smokey Mountain Tondo, Manila, followed by a long land journey to the next two communities located in the small towns of Barili and Naga, Cebu.  The last two communities required a tiring drive to a port using ferry boats to catch the other island to be there at a specific time.  With perseverance and determination, dedicated Rotarians and volunteers safely arrived on time to setup what they came to do.    The locals greeted them with open arms and are humbled to see them.  Their smiles gave them the energy to complete their mission.

Armed with compassion and medical supplies, they provided essential care to those in need.  Rotarian club members and volunteers worked tirelessly, offering optical care, minor surgeries, dental services, medical check-ups and screenings to the underserved communities.

This medical and dental mission not only addressed immediate health concerns but also empowered the communities with knowledge for long-term well-being.

As the mission concluded, smiles replaced pain and the people's voices echoed with gratitude.  Rotarians and volunteers helped a total of 5,409 people.
