Several members the Chula Vista Eastlake Rotary club made a trip to a home for abandoned seniors in La Rumorosa, Mexico on February 5th. They dropped off food, blankets, and gently worn clothing. But the main purpose of the visit was to scout out the repairs needed at La Casa Para Pobres Desamparados. The electricity is out in the kitchen and a dedicated electrical box is needed to handle the load for the electric water heater. Another visit is planned to ensure the electrician the club helped facilitate was able to complete the job. For now, though, they were glad to make a small dent in their ongoing needs.
