The International Golfing Fellowship of Rotarians (IGFR) will be hosted in San Diego from September 22 to September 27, 2024. Learn how you can help.
This marks the first occasion for San Diego to host this prestigious event, following its previous years in Rome, Italy, and Marrakech, Morocco.
This year's IGFR is fully booked, with over 250 international attendees coming to San Diego. The event will feature 165 golfers and their non-golfing companions, who will enjoy four distinct city tours during the week. The golfers are set to play at renowned courses including Torrey Pines, Coronado, Encinitas Ranch, and Lomas Santa Fe.
Here's how you can participate in this wonderful program:
Home Hospitality will be available to registrants on Tuesday, September 24th. This aspect of the event is consistently highlighted by registrants as the highlight of their experience! We are calling on Rotarians from our District to open their homes and host 4-8 registrants for Home Hospitality on that day. With an anticipated 150 registrants interested in this activity, we aim to secure 20-25 homes. Home Hospitality can be as simple as offering wine and hors d'oeuvres, a dinner at your residence, or taking a few registrants to your preferred restaurant. The essence of this event is in the camaraderie and the chance to forge new friendships!
