Rotary District 5340 is pleased to announce funding to FOUR Global Grant projects!  
 
In response to changing rules in The Rotary Foundation accounting for District Designated Funds (DDF), Rotary District 5340 has designated $20,000 in funding to four Global Grant projects. These four projects were chosen from sixteen submitted, based on competitive project merit, adherence to one of Rotary’s seven Areas of Focus, and other TRF guidelines.
 
Disease Prevention and Treatment – Prioritizing Life Where Life Begins seeks to improve infrastructure, provide equipment and training for the neonatal ward at Hôpital Prince Régent Charles in Bujumbura, Burundi. Additional information at G-3448.
 
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene – Zambia Safe Water Filtration seeks to design, build and distribute water filtration systems in Matero township of Lusaka, Zambia. Additional information at G-3277.
 
Disease Prevention and Treatment – Tecate Craniofacial Smiles seeks to purchase of specialized craniomaxillofacial instruments to treat children with developmental and congenital deformities related to cleft lip and palate syndromes who live in Tecate and areas of Baja California, Mexico. Community Economic Development – WEND Africa: A Hand Up seeks to purchase sewing equipment and provide vocational training to displaced women in areas of Northern Uganda. Addition information coming soon to matchinggrants.org.
