The May 12th Stomp Out Hunger event in Santee, hosted by the Postal Services, saw an overwhelming amount of donations from community members. The Santee-Lakeside Rotary Club has long been in partnership with the Post Office and the Santee Food Bank, ensuring that the Santee Community's contributions are delivered to the Santee Food Bank. Members of the Santee-Lakeside Rotary Club, along with postal workers, offloaded 14,473 pounds of food from the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. They emptied the postal trucks, filled a truck provided by the club, and transported all the food to the Santee Food Bank, where volunteers organized the donations.
