In a joint venture, the Santee-Lakeside Rotary club, Santana High School Interact club, La Mesa Sunrise Rotary club, La Mesa Rotary club, and El Cajon Sunset Rotary club gathered funds to construct a house in Tijuana, in partnership with Project Mercy Baja - Community Development Projects Inc.
On June 29th, these clubs fulfilled a family of four's dream by building an entire house in less than seven hours. The Rotarians managed to transform the lives of this family in a single day. Thanks to the generous contributions from club members, they delivered food, household essentials, and toys to the family in Tijuana. Moreover, the family received a surprise donation of a bed, dresser, fan, and mirror to furnish their new home.
The volunteers' ages spanned from 18 to 76.
