On Tuesday, September 19, 2023, non-profits throughout San Diego County were guests of the El Cajon Rotary Club for their Annual Grants Night event. Through fundraising efforts, the Rotary club distributed grant checks of various amounts to 20 non-profit organizations. Organizations included the American Legion Boys State program, El Cajon Police Department, Noah Homes, Saint Madeline Sophies Center, the Miglat Project - an anti-sex slavery project, Crisis House, Boys and Girls Club, 29 Eleven Maternity Home, Sonshine Haven, Meals on Wheels, Workshop for Warriors, Wreaths Across America San Diego, Warrior Foundation Freedom Station, Fisher House Southern California, Home of Guiding Hands, Shelter Box USA, Proxteem Mobility and Esteem, Friends of the Water Conservation Garden, East County Transitional Living Center and Foothills Christian High School Football for a player scholarship.
Each recipient was provided an opportunity to speak to the club about the programs that will benefit from these grants. It was clear in listening to them that these organizations and the El Cajon Rotary Club are indeed Creating Hope in the World.
