The Rotary Club of Del Mar love supporting the Del Mar lifeguards. They recently donated funds for the purchase of new rescue surf boards. Every second counts when someone is in distress in the water, and these light, maneuverable boards allow the lifeguards to reach people faster. Rescue boards were involved in nearly all of the 700 rescues the lifeguards have made so far this year, so they are a critical part of keeping Del Mar Village beachgoers safe.
