The Rotary Club of Downtown San Diego just finished its foreign currency campaign. Rotary members including Rotarians from other clubs donated their unused foreign currency typically left over from overseas trips. The currency was converted to US$ and given to Father Joe’s Villages to support their Family Empowerment program that takes homeless families and provides support and training to permit them to secure permanent shelter and restart their lives in the community. $2,000 was raised in the campaign.
