The Escondido and San Marcos Rotary Clubs will be holding a clothing drive on Saturday March 20, 2021 from 8am to 11am, in front of the Escondido City Hall at the corner of Broadway and Valley Parkway. They are asking Rotarians and community members to donate clothing that will be made available to the homeless VETS attending the North County Stand Down slated for mid-April.
In addition to used clothing, there is a need for new underwear, and socks, as well as women’s sports bra’s. Although the majority of VETS attending Stand Down are men, female homeless VETS will also be there. This will be the fifth year of the North County Stand Down, and the fifth year the Rotary Clubs of Escondido and San Marcos have held this clothing drive. Stand Down also welcomes financial support to help pay for other parts of the Stand Down event.
