On February 14 2019, Supervisor Kristin Gaspar presented, on behalf of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, a proclamation to Rotary District 5340 honoring Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA). The presentation was made at the Escondido Sunrise Rotary Club in the presence of RYLA Committee members Jim Ponder, George Beitner, Kelly Mayberry, Ron Liberman and District Governor, Mel Gallegos.
The honor proclaimed by Chairwomen, Diane Jacob and all members of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors stipulated April 13, 2019 as RYLA Day and further commended Rotary members who voluntarily participate in RYLA for their outstanding service, leadership, and commitment to the youth of San Diego and Imperial Counties.
