The Calexico Rotary Club didn't waste anytime to help students before going back to school and organized backpack donations for Calexico High School students that need them the most. The 22 backpacks were fully loaded with school supplies such as binders, pencils, pens, calculators, etc.
Days later the Club supported their fellow Calexico Rotarian member, Chris Martinez and Las Palmas Swap Meet to help prepare 461 backpacks for Mains Elementary School students. The Martinez family has done this for many years and the Calexico Rotary Club was honored to help them bring smiles to the faces of Calexico students.
