On Saturday, May 18, a crew of Oceanside Rotarians turned out to grill and serve about 1,000 hamburgers and hotdogs respectively on Armed Forces Day in support of Operation Appreciation.  Each year the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce brings the business community and area residents together to provide a day of recognition to all active duty military stationed on Marine Corps Base Camp Joseph H. Pendleton and nearby military bases.  Thousands of active duty military and family members are treated to a day of free food, entertainment and a fun zone for kids.
