Dear Rotary Family,

April brings our attention to one of Rotary's most vital Area of Focus - Protecting the Environment.

As People of Action, we understand that the health of our planet is closely tied to the health and well-being of our communities.  From clean water and fresh air to biodiversity and climate stability, the environment affects every area where we seek to make a difference.

Rotary embraced environmental protection as an official Area of Focus because we recognize that sustainable solutions are necessary for long-term peace and prosperity.  This month, I encourage clubs to take on projects - big and small - that honor our commitment to a greener future.  Organize a community cleanup, plant native trees, reduce single-use plastics at club events, or partner with local environmental organizations.  Even educating members on conservation practices makes an impact.

Let's lead by example and inspire those around us to become better stewards of the earth.  Together, we can ensure a cleaner, healthier world for generaltions to come.
