On Saturday, February 23, 2019, another successful Peace Forum was hosted by the Joan Kroc School of Peace Studies ad Pathways to Peace - District 5340.  The theme of Human Trafficking was very compelling and engaging.  Participants learned several things from an excellent platform of speakers.  There are multiple avenues in which Rotarians can help as part of Rotary's peace effort, especially at the local level to help communities reduce human trafficking.  A big thank you goes out to all the clubs that attended. It is the Committee's hope that participants were inspired to participate with some of our local organizations in helping reduce human trafficking in San Diego.  It should be every club's goal to become a peacebuilding club.

The next peace program hosted by District 5340's Pathways to Peace Committee is slated for April 6-7 when our Model UN program will occur.  Watch for an email soon to let you know how you can register/participate that weekend.  Be prepared to be wowed by high school students from around San Diego as they become empowered with skills that propel them to move towards peace through conflict prevention and resolution in just two days!  You do not want to miss this event.
