Recently I had the good fortune to join a photo safari in Tanzania. We were a group of twelve previous strangers, that met at the Kilimanjaro Airport for a ten-day trip to follow the great migration.
One of our first stops was to be the Gyekrum Lambo Primary School in Karatu. I had visited government schools in India before and knew there would be a great need for school supplies, and more. Since I was allowed one more checked bag than I needed, I reached out to our trip organizer and confirmed what to bring. After spending about $100 at Target for art and school supplies, my additional bag weighed a comfortable 40 pounds. I was easy to transport and brought true joy to the children. Upon my return I received the following message:
Hope this email will find you well.
