Today we had planned a visit to the world famous San Diego Zoo (and surfing for those who wanted more time on the waves). The girls elected the Zoo, and the boys headed back to the ocean.

The girls arrive in good spirits.

Maybe Linn would rather be sleeping too.

Christina, Linn and Anett prepare to pose at the gorilla exhibit.

Christina, Denisa and Anett take a break to relax. Tired already?

We're tired of walking. Let's take the Zoo bus tour.

Marjoline is first in line for a snack and drink

Suffering in the heat at the bird show.

The stage is set for the "Birds In Flight" show.

A bird that sings? It sang "Old McDonald Had A Farm". Amazing!

Beautiful in flight.

And, lands perfectly.

Protection from the sun is important. Denisa is always willing to help.

We're joined by Carla Osborne and her two boys, Bret and Blake. Linn is always joking around - keeps us on our toes.

A tram ride back to the park entrance is a welcome treat.

We wrap up the day at Old Town National Park with a Mexican dinner at Casa De Reyes - joined by Blake and his Dad, John Osborne.
