2008-09 Youth Exchange Students
Long Term Inbound:
The District Committee has selected 5 students this year.
Valentina Aleksandrova is sponsored by D-5010 and the Rotary Club of Ulan-Ude in the Buryat Republic, Russia. She is hosted by the Rotary Club of Vista and is attending Vista High School.
Andrezza Rangel is sponsored by D-4730 and the Rotary Club of Paranagua Taguare in Brazil. She is hosted by the Rotary Club of Encinitas and is attending La Costa Canyon High School.
Florence Mertens is sponsored by D-2170 and the Rotary Club of Bruxelles-Foret Dr Soignes in Belgium. She is hosted by the Coronado Rotary Club and is attending Coronado High School.
Piermarco Orsini is sponsored by D-2040 and the Rotary Club of Como, Italy. He is hosted by the Coronado Rotary Club and is attending Coronado High School.
Stefano Benedetti is sponsored by D-2030 and the Rotary Club of Genova Golfo Paradiso in Genova, Italy. He is hosted by the Coronado Rotary Club and is Attending Coronado High School.
Long Term Outbound:
Charlie Winter sponsored by the Camp Pendleton Rotary Club will be hosted by D-2080 and will be living in Sardinia, Italy. Charlie recently attended Carlsbad High School and is quickly learning Italian to help him with his exchange year.
Jordan VanDerWerken sponsored by the Rotary Club of Bonsall is being hosted by D-9200 and the Rotary Club of Karura. He will be living in Nairobi, Kenya. Jordan recently graduated from High School and became an Eagle Scout.
Alison Rodgers sponsored by the Coronado Rotary Club is being hosted by D-2170 and will be living in Belgium. She most recently attended Coronado High School.
Olivia Gray sponsored by the Encinitas Rotary Club is hosted by D-2200 and will be living in Denia, Spain she most recently attended.
Short Term Program 2008:
Our District only had 3 Short Term Exchanges this year.
Amanda Rowe sponsored by the Coronado Rotary Club went to Alicante, Spain where she stayed with her host sister Bianca and her family. She then returned with Amanda for a three week stay here.
Dana Hutchison was also sponsored by the Coronado Rotary Club and went to Madrid, Spain. Her host sister Sara came here first and took Dana back for a three week stay.
Natalie Bailey was sponsored by the Coronado Rotary Club and went to Straelin, Germany. Her host sister Marina returned with her for a three week stay here.
2006-07 Youth Exchange Students
Long Term Inbound:

Martin Becart is sponsored by D-1670 and comes from Croix, France. He is hosted by the Rotary Club of La Jolla and will be attending La Jolla High School.
Gustav Mortensen is sponsored by D-1470 and comes from Valby, Denmark. He is hosted by Club 33 San Diego and will be attending Francis Parker.
Willian Simoes is sponsored by D-4430 and comes from Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is hosted by the Point Loma Rotary Club and will be attending Point Loma High School.
Long Term Outbound:
Quin Herron sponsored by the Point Loma Rotary Club will be hosted by D-2170 and will be living in Gembloux Belgium. Quin recently attended High Tech High and is quickly learning French to help him with his exchange year.
Short Term Program 2005:
Our District only had two Short Term Exchanges this year.
Lauren Gensler sponsored by the Coronado Rotary Club went to Bavaria Germany where she stayed with her host sister Laura Reisner and her family. Laura then returned with Lauren for a three week stay here.
Shauna McDaniel was also sponsored by the Coronado Rotary Club and will be going to Haute-Savoie, France. Her host sister Caroline came here first and will be taking Shauna back for a three week stay soon.
