Diego), is our District Governor Nominee Designate and will
serve as District Governor for the Rotary year 2009-10.

to raise some funds for Matching Grants with The Rotary
Foundation. This will be help on June 9, 2007, at the
Belle Marie Winery in Escondido. The
Rotary Club of
Bonsall is helping to organize this event. The 5-course meal with
11 wine pairings will be paid by sponsors, and the whole ticket
amount will be sent to The Rotary Foundation with double Paul
Harris Credit in your name. Tickets are $200 each, limited to the

Council On Legislation Report
The Council On Legislation was held in Chicago the week of April
22, 2007. PRID Ron Beaubien was our District's Representative. See
his report on
the district website, with the
whole list of decisions, effective July 1, 2007. (No April Fools in
this report).
Meeting Frequency Pilot Project
The RI Board of Directors is conducting a
new pilot
project beginning 1 July 2007, based on results from the current New
Models Pilot Project that ends 30 June 2007. The Board would like more
supporting data on how allowing clubs flexibility in their meeting
frequency affects essential
operations.
The Meeting Frequency Pilot Project, will evaluate the impact of
meeting frequency on a club's ability to sustain and increase membership,
implement successful service projects, support The Rotary Foundation, and
develop leaders beyond the club level. The new pilot runs from 1 July
2007 to 30 June 2013. A total of 200 clubs, with equal representation
from the 34 zones and chartered prior to 30 June 2003, will be chosen to
participate. Clubs that participated in the New Models Pilot
Project will receive selection preference. The deadline for submitting
a pilot application form is 1 June 2007. Club and district officers
will be notified of clubs selected to participate by 30 June
2007.
