2010-11 District Conference

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I register for the conference?
You may register for the conference online at www.rotary5340.org/conference1010 or by mail using the form available on the website.

2. Can I make changes to my registration?
Yes. The confirmation email you received has a link to your registration page where you can make some changes. You may also get the list of attendees, and click on the icon on the left of your name. Once your registration summary is displayed, click on the icon on the right of the title bar. This will bring up your filled online registration form. Make changes, and then submit and confirm the changes. Follow the instructions if some additional payment is required.

3. How do I enter a credit card payment for my existing registration?
The confirmation email you received has a link to your registration page where you can see your registration summary. You may also get the list of attendees, and click on the icon on the left of your name. Once your registration summary is displayed, click on the icon on the right of the title bar. This will bring up a secure payment form where you can enter your credit card number. You can also find a direct link to the payment form in the payment reminder email that you may have received.

4. May I take my spouse or other guest?
Spouses and other guests are invited to attend all the meals, sessions and participate in the leisure time activities. Just register them at the time you register for the conference.

5. What is the dress code for the conference?
Casual attire is appropriate for all the regular events of the conference. Western attire is encouraged for the Friday night barbeque. The BBQ is outside so be sure to bring a jacket. The Foundation Gala on Saturday night is a masquerade theme and any attire or costume you wish to wear is encouraged. The “dress” for the evening will be part of the fun -- wear the traditional formal (black tie optional) and evening gown OR wear the Halloween costume you’ll be sporting later in October; both are perfectly appropriate for this not-to-miss GALA. Or come dressed for the evening in what is comfortable for you.

We will even have changing rooms available for your convenience (one for men and one for ladies) if you’d like to change clothes prior to the evening.

6. How do I make a home stay reservation?
Be sure to check the Home Stay area on the online and/or mail registration form. Also check if you have allergies to animals or need handicap access. You will be contacted with information as to who you will be staying with and the accommodations.

7. How do I make a hotel reservation?
Room reservations need to be made separately by calling the Pala Mesa Resort directly at 800-722-4700 or 760-723-8292. Identify yourself as attending the Rotary District Conference and you will receive the special rate of $149.00. Reservations must be made before September 28, 2010 to receive this rate. Please reserve early as there are a limited number of rooms set aside for the conference.

8. How do I sign up for the special events on Saturday afternoon?
On the Registration page of the district website, click on the Special Events for Saturday under the Conference News Center. Then click on Special Events and sign up for the event of your choice. There will be time for only one event. You may change your mind later if you wish.
