July 02, 2009 Change of Command--Mayor Jerry Sanders Sheraton West Outgoing President Stan Hartman will pass the gavel to incoming President Dick Troncone. Dick will be sworn in by Mayor Jerry Sanders, then he will introduce his new Board of Directors and will share his visions with the club for the new Rotary year. Our speaker will be Mayor Jerry Sanders who has now been in office for four years. He will share his insight on the progress the City of San Diego has made during his tenure. Jerry is the 34th Mayor of San Diego and was the former Chief of Police from 1993-1999, capping a 26-year career with the Police Department. He also served as CEO of United Way and was appointed to the American Red Cross board.
