January 6-8, 2012 Fish Across the Border Ensenada, Mexico ‘Fish Across the Border’ is the week end of January 6-8, 2012. We usually arrive at the Hotel about 4 pm on Friday. At 6 pm an Ensenada Rotarian will meet us in the lobby of the hotel and guide us to the warehouse where we finish filling the food bags and then loading the Ensenada Rotarians pick ups with the bags and donated blankets. On Saturday morning we meet the Ensenada Rotarians and their families at the San Nicholas Hotel in downtown Ensenada, have breakfast, and then split up and head out to areas on the outskirts of the city where the local Rotarians have already identified families in need. Following the distribution of food and blankets, and toys that we have individually purchased and brought with us we return to the city and then join the Ensenada Rotarians and their families at the home of Dr. Eloy Perez for a Mexican Fiesta to celebrate another year of service above self. After the fiesta we return to the Hotel Coral and on Sunday morning, January 8th, we have breakfast and then return to San Diego.
