Shelter Box

Mr. Peter Griffithand his team will join us and talk to us about their Shelter Bx Program. We have all seen in our copies of the Rotarian Magazine about the very special World Wide Reief program, originally started by a small Rotary Club outside Cornwall, that has grown into a very Unique Relief effort known as Shelter Box. We now have a speakers team in District that is ready, willing and able to come to your club with an actual Shelter Box and a formal presentation. This will not only inform you but amaze you when you hear and see the story of how these very special boxes go from their "birthing place" in Cornwall to the far corners of our world, as people need them most-immediatly after some form or natural disaster. Let us come to your club and share this story! Call our team to set up a Club Program soon.

District Assembly will be held on Saturday, March 20, from 7 AM to 12 Noon at the University of San Diego Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice. All Presidents-Elect, Presidents-Nominee, and their club boards should attend, as well as other interested club members.

Grants Management Seminar

This Grant Management Seminar will explain in details the new grant process in District 5340 with the Future Vision Plan of The Rotary Foundation. We will cover the new "District Grants" and "Global Grants", and do a live demonstration of the online application process. Attendance of at least one club member is mandatory for clubs to be qualified to be able to do Global Grants with The Rotary Foundation.

DG Marge Cole invites you to join in the fun, fellowship, and learning that will happen at District Conference. Top level speakers will provide information on water in D5340 and Rotary water projects world wide. A bus tour of Imperial Valley will provide a unique perspective on water and energy.
