$2 million a minute and will double in the next decade. While this is bad
enough for you and I, it is particularly troublesome for young people.
Within 15 years, there will be no money left in the budget for anything
(including education, transportation, housing, defense, etc.) except Social
Security, Medicare, Medicaid and interest on the debt (which will soon be
nearly $2 billion a day). This is not ideological; it's mathematical.

San Diego Motorsports: 100 Racing Years
National City Rotary Club
San Diego Motorsports: 100 Racing Years, is a book by Johnny McDonald about the sport’s high and low points.
It’s a compilation of racing history dating back to Barney Oldfield’s barnstorming days around Lakeside’s Lindo Lake to Jimmie Johnson’s Daytona 500 triumph in 2006.
In between, it covers sports car races at Torrey Pines, Del Mar and Miramar’s Hour Glass track, the early days of drag racing at Paradise Mesa, San Diego and Carlsbad Raceways, midgets at Balboa Stadium and a host of other events.
International motocross riders, off-roaders and even hydroplanes are included.
Many in San Diego don’t realize there was a race track where Sea World now stands, sports cars once raced where golfers play at Torrey Pines and that 17,000 fans jammed old Balboa Stadium to see midget autos and modifieds race. And, for 9 years (1951-59) National City’s Paradise Mesa had the country’s third drag strip.
The standard size, 144 page book has over 450 photos and illustrations.
It has become a big seller in San Diego County.
A racing historian
Johnny McDonald was a motor sports writer for the San Diego Union for over 25 years and was once described by Car and Driver Magazine as one of the nation’s most influential.

Headaches, What you Should Know and Why
140 E 12th, National City
Headaches,
"What should you know and why?"
60 million Americans suffer from headaches and a variety of face
and body pains on a daily basis, and pain medications are a costly
and understated problem within the U.S. population. Is this a disease
related problem or a problem that is the result of the "American
lifestyle?" In our society, most patients seek medications to relieve
their headaches, while ignoring the fact that 80-90% of their
discomfort is "self inflicted" and under their own control.
Dr. Tanaka was the Director of "Pain Clinics" at the UCSD Medical
Center and USC School of Dentistry for over 30 years and will provide
a simple explanation of the most common headaches and also practical
ways to manage them with and without medications.
Terry Tanaka, DDS is a Clinical Professor at the University of
Southern California, School of Dentistry, in Advanced Dental
Education, and was Clinical Associate Professor at the UCSD School of
Medicine. He practices with his Rotarian daughter, Dr. Katherine
Tanaka in Chula Vista, California and is an Honarary Member of the
National City Rotary Club.
