	September 01, 2010 Hollywood Helping Hand Now in Encinitas Elk's Lodge Windsor Rd, Cardiff David Mirisch is a member of the famous Mirisch Film Company that has produced 52 feature films, won a total of 24 Academy Awards and 3 Best Picture Awards. Some of the films his family has produced are: Hawaii, West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, The Great Escape, The Pink Panther, Some Like It Hot, In the Heat of The Night, and The Magnificent Seven. Their films and the people associated with their films have been nominated for a total of 58 Academy Award nominations. His family background really was what gave him the leading edge in creating David Mirisch Enterprises. He began as a Hollywood press agent, where he handled the publicity of such stars as Merv Griffin, Omar Sharif, The Supremes, Johnny Mathis, Raquel Welch, Perry Como, Lindsay Wagner and Farrah Fawcett. Years later he began to develop the concepts behind DME. Now, he is recognized as, "The Man With The Golden Rolodex" and the "Saving Funds While Making Funds-Man". More information...
