Latest News: In 25 years, members of the La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club International Service Committee have facilitated over 285 projects in 40 countries. We currently have active projects in Afghanistan, Bolivia, China, Costa Rica, District 9200 (Uganda, Kenya, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Tanzania), El Salvador, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Nepal,South Africa and the USA.

Current Goals: To emphasize the international character of Rotary, by working with Rotarians in other countries and Rotary International, to meet a variety of human needs throughout the world.

Purpose: International Service: We review service project proposals, select those consonant with LJGT and ISC goals, then monitor project progress through site visits, communication with onsite workers, and liaison with Rotarians in other countries. This is the active means for our club members to participate in the impact of Rotary International around the globe.

Activities/responsibilities: We administer a budget of approximately $25,000 with additional funding available through global grants, district grants and other sources. At any given time, we fund about thirty different projects.

Why join: This is an exciting committee with hands-on projects touching the lives of people all over the world. Personal, dynamic involvement in the projects we sponsor is the key to our success -- to make our world a better place, one project at a time.
