District Governor 2010-11

Notification of Nomination
Under the provisions of the Rotary International Bylaws, Section 13.020.9, where there is no Challenging Candidate, the District Governor is to declare the candidate of the district nominating committee to be the governor-nominee, who will become district governor for the term of 2010-11. There were no challenging candidates.

It is therefore our honor and pleasure to make the declaration that DAVE BREEDING, of the Rotary Club of Fallbrook, is our District Governor Nominee Designate and will serve as District Governor for the Rotary year 2010-11.

We all look forward to her continued leadership and work as he serves Rotary International and our wonderful District 5340.

District Governor 2009-10

Notification of Nomination
Under the provisions of the Rotary International Bylaws, Section 13.020.9, where there is no Challenging Candidate, the District Governor is to declare the candidate of the district nominating committee to be the governor-nominee, who will become district governor for the term of 2009-10. There were no challenging candidates.

It is therefore our honor and pleasure to make the declaration that MARGE COLE, of the Rotary Club of Mission Valley (San Diego), is our District Governor Nominee Designate and will serve as District Governor for the Rotary year 2009-10.

John Kenny, of the Rotary Club of Grangemouth, Central, Scotland, is the selection of the Nominating Committee for President of Rotary International in 2009-10. He will become the president-nominee on 1 December if there are no challenging candidates.

Dong Kurm Lee, a Rotary Foundation trustee and a member of the Rotary Club of Seoul Hangang, Seoul, Korea, is the selection of the Nominating Committee for President of Rotary International in 2008-09. He will become the president-nominee on 1 December if there are no challenging candidates.

Wilfrid J. Wilkinson, of the Rotary Club of Trenton, Ontario, Canada, is the selection of the Nominating Committee for President of Rotary International in 2007-08 that convened at RI World Headquarters on 5 December, 2005. He will become the president-nominee on 1 January 2006 if there are no challenging candidates.

William B. Boyd, of the Rotary Club of Pakuranga, Auckland, New Zealand, is the selection of RI's Nominating Committee for President of RI in 2006-07, which met on 13 September, 2004. He will become the president-nominee on 1 December if there are no challenging candidates.

3 Outstanding Rotarians of District 5340 were awarded the Service Above Self Award at the District Conference on April 24, 2004. The awards were presented by Governor Mike Stelman and Past President of Rotary International Cliff Dochterman. The Service Above Self award is Rotary International's highest honor for individual Rotarians. A maximum of 150 recipients may be selected worldwide each year.
