The Seventh Annual "So You Think You've Got Talent San Diego" was another amazing success.  On Saturday May 13, 2017, 10 variety acts competed on the campus of Francis Parker School.  The event was sponsored and organized by the Old Mission Rotary, Kearny Mesa Rotary and the Francis Parker Interact Clubs.  Profits will be donated to the Thousand Smiles Foundation.

First Place honors and a $1000 prize was awarded to the youth band, Jam Fusion, who rocked the crowd with the song Hotel California.  Second place and a $500 prize went to  the Sea Monks Family Band who performed an original composition with hilarious lyrics called Sticks and Stones.  Third place and a $245 prize was awarded to Alec Hamilton who mesmerized the baby boomers in the audience on piano with his vocals of Scenes from an Italian Restaurant, by Billy Joel.

The Gala Committee worked hard to make every aspect of the evening a success, including the catering, silent and live auctions, an open bar and, of course, the show itself.   All three clubs were very grateful to their sponsors and those who provided donated items to the event.   Everyone is already looking forward to next year's event.
