On January 30, 2017, the Art Prat Foundation of Old Mission Rotary presented a grant of $5315 to the Fleet Science Center. The funds will be used to upgrade the security surveillance system for their 95,000 square-foot facility. This is particularly important as the museum offers so many youth and school programs.
The science museum and planetarium is located in Balboa Park at the east end of the El Prado Drive walkway. The Fleet Science Center connects people of all ages to the possibilities and power of science to create a better future.
