Final notice!  Applications are currently being accepted to serve as a facilitator at this year's RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) program scheduled for April 20-22, 2018 in beautiful Idyllwild.  Your commitment would include a required half-day training meeting on Saturday morning, April 14.  if one of the reasons you joined Rotary is to serve youth, now is your opportunity.  A three and on-half day commitment from you is a wonderful and fulfilling way to serve the youth in our district.

RYLA is a leadership conference for approximately 280 high school juniors from throughout the district.  it's primary intent is to encourage students to become more effective servant leaders, but the result is students emerge confident, enthusiastic and empowered.  The program includes exceptional speakers, small group discussions and fellowship activities all within an atmosphere of trust and respect.  if you have some experience working with youth, are in good health and are committed to the principles of Rotary and the development of young people - you are qualified.  it is an extraordinary Rotary youth program that you will not want to miss.  Please go to ryla5340.org, click on the  facilitator tab.  Please make sure you do the following:

  • Complete and forward the application by the end of February,
  • Complete your youth certification (if you haven't already)
You are now on the way of one of the most rewarding experiences as a Rotarian.  If you have any questions, please contact Paul van Roon, the RYLA  co-facilitator coordinator at 619 980-2334 or paulvanroon@icloud.com.
