On Tuesday, December 10, members of District 5340 and 4100, presented a passenger van to the Tijuana General Hospital.  Children with cancer, living in Tijuana, are often unable to get to the hospital for their chemotherapy and other treatments, because their parents do not have a car, the buses do not run near their homes, or for other reasons.

This van will be used to transport children and their parents to their appointments, allowing them to get life-saving treatments when they are needed.

The van was a project initiated by the Coronado Binacional Rotary Club, and supported by the Rotary Clubs of Chula Vista Sunrise, Coronado, E-Club of United Services, Escondido,  La Jolla Golden Triangle, La Mesa Sunrise, San Diego Downtown Breakfast, Thousand Oaks and Tijuana.
